This is a brief introduction to social skills for kids, explaining what they are and that everyone develops skills at their own pace.  This includes a self-assessment of skills where kids indicate is they've "got it" "still practicing" or "not yet".

Accepting Compliments

Some people feel uncomfortable when they receive compliments and aren't sure what to do. This is a simple, step-by-step instruction with illustrations for how to reply when someone compliments you.

Giving Compliments

Explains what it means to give someone a compliment, why people do it, and some tips on how to give compliments successfully.  This also includes of few examples of what types of compliments kids can give their friends.

Accepting "No" For An Answer

"No" is a difficult word for a lot of people to hear. This social narrative explains to children that it's expected to feel upset when you hear no, but there is an appropriate way to react - that expected reaction is illustrated and broken down into steps.
